Community install scripts are optional helpers.

Use them when a platform-specific wrapper saves time.

Use Docker setup if you want the official baseline.

Community pages and scripts are not maintained, reviewed, or supported by CrossWatch.

Read them before you run them.

Fixes, updates, and support depend on the original author.

Recommended approach

1. Start with Docker setup.

2. Use a community script only when you need a wrapper.

3. Review the script before running it.

4. Back up before major changes or updates.

5. Keep notes on where it stores data and how it upgrades.
